Pom Pom Flowers

Mom found this idea on one of her favorite blogs, and thought "wow! Those are so cute I know I can make them"!  So we decided to make flowers for our relative's Baptism.  Then days passed and life happens, 'till the night before the Baptism mom sent me out to the Virginia Creeper with a pair of scissors and a jacket.  It was getting dark and I had to hurry and make sure I cut off the best branches.   I came inside and we started making Pom Poms!  In the end we had 6 cute little Pom Pom flowers and yarn and sticks everywhere!  The next day, when I gave Aunt Ami her flower she loved it!  When I handed Uncle Dennis his flower he put his ear up to and said, "I think I hear someone"!  (A.K.A. Horten Hears a Who).  Tavie held hers and looked at it.  What do you expect a two year old to do?  Then Audrey and I walked over to Oscar (who is four) and handed him his flower, he set his Power Ranger on the ground and twisted the flower round and round and upside down, and with a critical face and gravelly voice asked, "Did you get this from a yard sale"?  All we could do was laugh.  He tossed it to the side and grabbed his Power Ranger and started to kill the bad guys again.  I picked up the flower and set in on his desk.
What do you expect from a four year old?

Each stick had cute little curlycue's all over them!
if you start with fun yarn and cool sticks and a bit of imagination
you can make anything!

The Pom Pom flowers all finished!

All six of our little Pom Pom family!

Winter Wonderland

The day after Valentine's day we woke up to a winter wonderland!  It was so much fun to watch the snow fall all over.  It was like God was sprinkling powder sugar all over Prineville, but it sure didn't taste like it. :) So, since February 15th 'till now (the 24th) it hasn't stopped snowing!  I wake up to blue skies and puffy white clouds out my window facing the south, and then cloudy grey skies out my window facing the north,  and then comes the snow.  We haven't had snow like we had the 15th.  It pretty much snows and stops and snows and stops and leaves on the ground a little frosty layer of white.  Here are some pictures from the 15th!

Here is a little extra video to make you laugh!

More Christmas!

This is a really talented little girl singing about her dad.  I don't know if you have ever heard of her, her name is Rhema Marvanne.
Enjoy!

I know, more Christmas?  It's February. I guess I'm really addicted to Christmas! Also, I have some pictures to share! Speaking of Christmas, I was watching Psych today (it was a Christmas episode) and I learned some things about Jesus! Like the three wise men didn't see Jesus until he was two. It was actually around April when Jesus was born.  Alright I already knew all that, but I thought it was kinda cool that a show like Psych ( if you have ever watched it you know what I mean :) has times where they talk about God. Well, here are the pictures!
Audrey and I made Strawberry Ornaments for our  friends. I also gave them really cute bottle cap magnets that Hillary makes, and some candy!

Me, Joey, Makenna

These were really cool snacks at our church Christmas party. That cup is really chocolate!

Aaron, one of the boys from church showed us how to do some cool things with the camera.

we took a flash light and traced people with it!

Joey made this one for me.

Well, that's all folks

Cute little ?

I was out taking pictures when I saw this guy fly into one of our bird houses.
I waited for him to fly back out and I think I startled him! He let me get pretty close before flying away.
